Dear Parents and Students,

One of our goals regarding learning and teaching domains this year is to strengthen classroom interaction through IT. Our campus is fully covered by Wifi so students can use gadgets to access the Internet across campus for e-learning.

Mr. Joe Hui, Programme Manager of Weborganic, was invited to share Flipped Classroom on the Staff Development Day,which was held on 16th November. A ‘Flipped Classroom‘ is where students gain first exposure to new online material outside of class, and then class time is used to do the harder work of assimilating that knowledge through strategies such as teachers’ elaboration, discussion and problem-solving.

This year, 3 pilot subject panels, namely History, History and Culture, and Geography have been exploring factors such as subject nature, topic nature, teaching styles, students’ learning styles, and technical support etc. with a view to integrating IT into pedagogy to further strengthen our teaching.

Best regards,
Constance Cheung
Principal
