Dear Parents and Students,

While we all enjoyed gathering with family and friends during the Easter season, we also need moments to pause and reflect on the true meaning of Easter, namely, that Jesus Christ, our Lord, died for our sins and was raised from the dead on the third day. Jesus’s resurrection proves His victory over sin and death. He is in control and looks after our daily lives and strengthens us. If we have faith and share our cares and worries with the Lord, He will sustain us.  We should also share this positive energy from our faith with others, so that more lives are encouraged and blessed!

Hundreds of alumni attended the Homecoming on 12 March to celebrate the 128th anniversary of Pooi To . It featured award ceremonies for alumni of all generations and a number of varied programmes. I would like to express our gratitude to the Alumni Association for their hard work and organisation. Thanks should also be given to Ms. Cheung Tsun-wah, our alumni who was former president of the magazine "Children's Paradise" and introduced Doraemon to Hong Kong for the first time in 1973. Her forward-looking vision inspires us not to limit our powers of innovation and creativity, but to keep trying, keep improving to better equip ourselves to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Finally, the school would like to share two recent pieces of good news. The Drama Team won the Adjudicators’ Award, which was the highest achievement in the Hong Kong School Drama Festival 2015/16. They will perform in public on 27 May in Youth Square Y-Theatre. In addition, our S.4 geography students participated in the "Youth Geological Conservation Ambassador Scheme". Our school was one of the 6 finalists that we visited Jeju Island Geopark in Korea from 20 to 23 March giving the participants a wonderful cultural experience and unique opportunity to broaden their horizons. Praise to our Lord.

Best regards,
