Dear Parents and Students,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the opening of the school year. We all very much look forward to working hand in hand with you to build a learning community guided by our school mission, “Encouraging growth for all”.

The school theme for this year is “Renew our Strength and Soar like Eagles”. Last year was a year of rich harvest for Pooi To. We reaped both academic and non-academic rewards. While we are proud of our Pooi To Girls, we must learn to humble ourselves to our Lord because without Him, we have nothing. As the Bible says, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” I encourage our students to be strong and experience God’s almighty grace when they face adversity.

The focus of this school year can be characterized by the acronym REAP.

Resilience
-- Encouraging students to be resilient in the face of adversity

Effectiveness
-- Developing effective learning and teaching strategies to unleash students’ potential

Administration
-- Further improving the Administrative System

Preparation
-- Preparing for 130th Anniversary

We would like to maintain our channels of communication with stakeholders to ensure the highest quality of education in our school. I wish each student and their family a very productive year.

Best regards,
Constance Cheung
Principal

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:29-31)
