Japan was chosen in a pilot project of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage division. Students could experience the Japanese culture through various activities such as experiential learning, workshops and visits. They could also learn how the Japanese respect for the natural world and lived in harmony with nature, and discover more about the approach to conserving historical and cultural heritage of Japan.
