129th Anniversary Celebrations
 

‘Wishing on a Star’ by Student Union

To celebrate the school’s anniversary, students wrote their heartfelt wishes on the red, yellow and blue coloured origami stars which were placed in the numbers 1, 2 and 9 shaped boxes. The Principal, Ms Cheung, Vice Principal, Ms Wong and the Assisting Principal, Ms Chiao, together with S1 to S5 House Captains hosted the Anniversary Lighting Ceremony. The lighting up of the homemade LED number-shaped boxes was stunning and it signified that Pooi To had stepped into its 130th anniversary.


 

Thanksgiving Service

The whole school thanked God for the blessings he has bestowed upon Pooi To over the last 129 years. We praised the name of the Lord through poetry and recitation of the school prayer and other prayers. Principal Cheung gave thanks for God’s grace and all his blessings such as the former principals’ and teachers’ contributions and guidance, and the positive attitude towards learning displayed by students and alumnae. Alumna Alice Chung shared her deep experience of the effect of God’s love and mercies on her studies and personal growth.
