This year, an annual English Activity Day became an International Day of Friendship with students from Singapore, Italy and Hong Kong contributing to the festivities. Our Singaporean guests from Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ School (Secondary) enjoyed demonstration lessons for Science and English in the morning. At lunchtime, the Singaporean students, our International Exchange Student from Italy, Elena Dlnca’ and the EAC Committee set up game booths at which a huge milling crowd could learn more about each other’s traditions and customs. Besides, our teachers and students performed pop music which drew huge audiences. The outdoor activities were followed by a friendly debate adjudicated by Mr. Stan Dyer, the Coordinator of Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition. The two teams gave impressive speeches and argued forcefully over the topic, “Hong Kong’s Development is better than Singapore’s”. It was a wonderful day for all of us to share our lives and gain fruitful learning experience.
