On 11 March, 17 S1 students watched a play, “The Count of Monte Cristo”, organized by SCHOLAR English Alliance and AFTEC. The story of Alexandre Dumas’ famous The Count of Monte Cristo was re-imagined as a modern thriller which was performed by a professional native English-speaking cast. Not only did students watch the play in delight, but they were also given a chance to ponder the importance of “forgiveness”.
