Dear Parents and Students,

A highly successful and enjoyable Mid-Autumn Festival activity was held by Pooi To Alumni Association on 19th September. Alumni and their families gathered together at the school campus to enjoy the food they had prepared. The food was delicious, authentic tasting and thoroughly enjoyed by all. We met many friends and chatted in this very relaxing atmosphere.

Pooi To has a long history of more than 127 years. Pooi To Academy was founded in Guangzhou in 1888 and established in Macau and Hong Kong in 1942 and 1945 respectively. Our Alumni are spread all over the world. We, together with Macau Pooi To are going to participate in a friendly relay held by Guangzhou No. 7 Middle School (formerly Pooi To Girls’ School) on 10th October. It’s a great opportunity for our students to share experiences. Besides this, teachers from Guangzhou No. 7 Middle School and Pooi To Macau will visit us on 20th November for lesson demonstrations and observation. Teachers will share teaching pedagogy and learning effectiveness.

I love the moon because its roundness at full moon symbolizes the presence of amicable relationships. In God we trust, I believe the love, support and togetherness among each other will continue. I’m looking forward to meeting our Alumni again together with the whole teaching staff when we all join the coming Alumni Day on 12th March. See you there.
