Dear Parents and Students,

A controversy over TSA has arisen recently regarding the extra workload, pressure on students and the well-being of students. We are blessed that the situation has never arisen at Pooi To. We believe that the school-based curriculum designed for our junior secondary students should equip them well to cope with this assessment without any extra drilling.

The school-based curriculum for junior secondary focuses on unfolding students’ potential and creativity, strengthening bilingual learning, and promoting self-regulated learning. Different learning programmes are held beyond the classroom to cater for learners’ diversity. Besides these, Readers Academy is a reading programme for junior form students to expose themselves fully to publications in various disciplines. Strong links with our Alumnae is one of our assets and it is a joy to see alumnae helping our girls with schoolwork after school. Learning Buddies are paired up to lift the learning atmosphere in school. The Bible says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Roman 8:28. May God bless and keep Pooi To.

Best regards,
Constance Cheung
