Dear Parents and Students,

Students have just completed the first term exam and their checked scripts have been returned to enable them to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of their own learning, thus helping them to continue improving and growing. Talking to your daughters about their performance will help you understand them more and your appreciation and encouragement of their efforts and perseverance can motivate them to strive for improvement. Together you can analyze the causes of any problems and find ways to improve and establish clear goals in order to help them achieve their full potential.

"…forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3: 13-14)

Beware of any complacency even if you feel good about things now. It may slow your progress and prevent you from reaching the next level. This is not God's will. We should also be motivated to improve if we feel frustrated with our performance. When we encounter difficulties, we should not sit back and let things continue or even deteriorate.  This is also not God's plan. Therefore, I encourage every Pooi To girl, regardless of past successes or frustrations, to avoid living in the past and strive to be the best you can be in the future. Keep in mind the love and acceptance of God's grace and His plan for all of us. Accept Jesus Christ as your inspiration and try to live out your lives in line with God's will.

Best regards,
Constance Cheung
