Dear Parents and Students,

Lunar New Year is coming. I wish you all a prosperous and fruitful year. On 25 February, parents will meet their daughter’s class teacher and find out about her learning performance, learning attitude and behaviour in the last term. Our teachers will give full support to your daughter if she needs any assistance.

   Students always encounter challenges and difficulties in their lives. No matter whether they experience success or setbacks, they need love, acceptance and support. So parents and teachers play an important role in this phase of their lives. We need to work closely together so that family and Pooi To are places for our girls to build love, confidence and respect. The Bible says, "Let the Lord make you love one another, and love the hearts of all, grow, and abundant, as we love you." 1Te 3:12.

   Everyone needs love and encouragement. Good parenting can establish rapport and confidence for a student to overcome challenges. Even if she experiences frustration and disappointment, parents can try to understand her learning situation and give her comfort and guidance. She can rebuild her confidence, renew her strength and soar like an eagle. I hope that parents can encourage their daughters to set goals and make plans in the beginning of the Year of the Rooster so as to see improvement and progress by the end of the second term.
