Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome back after the Lunar New Year Holidays - we hope you all had a relaxing break and our girls have re-charged their batteries! The day before the holiday, the school held a Lunar New Year Fair in which students enjoyed the games and understood the culture of Chinese New Year more. Teachers, parents and students made a lot of fun. I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to our teachers and PTA exco members for their efforts and dedication.

We have received a lot of feedback about the last parent’s letter. The comments are constructive. Pooi To is a Christian Girl’s school in which a harmonious relationship of mutual respect between teachers and students is maintained so that well-balanced development in moral, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic and spiritual values will transpire. In the midst of a crooked and perverse society, it is not easy to nurture the next generation. We will work together to provide students with different opportunities to develop their potential. Although sometimes the strategies may not be perfect, we will humbly and sincerely strive to improve them.

Pooi To has always attached importance to the development of students’ different potential so that they can challenge themselves in different ways. In the 68th Hong Kong School Speech Festival, students participated actively in the competition and achieved 1 champion, 3 first runners-up, 5 second runners up and 80 merit awards. In addition, the Liberal Studies students took part in the "Strategy" - Outstanding Policy Contest 2016, which stood out among 38 secondary school teams, and achieved Third Prize as well as the Most Creative Policy Award and the Most Honorable Award. Congratulations to all Pooi To Girls.

Best wishes,
Constance Cheung
Principal
