Dear Parents and Students,

The school not only attaches importance to school education, but also values home-school cooperation, because school education, especially character building, is not only taught using theory and examples in the classroom, but also though ample life experiences. Therefore, we have always emphasized the great importance of whole-person development, including moral, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic and spiritual aspects. Despite learning in classrooms, we provide rich learning experiences to help our students understand themselves better, and allow them to communicate more effectively with their peers and teachers, and learn from each other to help nurture their growth in life.

Since September 15th when we ended the half-day classes that we have had over the last two years, students have gradually adapted to full-time face-to-face school life. With things getting back to normal, laughter from teachers and students can be heard all over the campus. Students from different levels can learn from each other, work together to achieve their goals, create new ideas, appreciate each other’s strengths, work with classmates on their weaknesses, and eventually establish a sense of responsibility and ownership.

Something else that can strongly affect students’ development and how they see themselves and treat others is parenting. It is suggested that parents do not only use their daughter’s behavior at home to decide if she can or cannot do something. This will only eliminate possibilities for her and narrow her choices in the future.

Every junior level student has to participate in the "One Art or Sports Policy" in the first three years of secondary school, in order for them to develop their potential on different platforms. Please do not worry that they won’t be able to find a suitable activity. Instead, let your daughter step out of her comfort zone and do something that she isn’t familiar with, regardless of whether the activity is new to her or not. We must encourage students to find joy and value in every single event or activity, support them to learn new things and not give up so that they can experience the joy of something new, and also understand their own potential in the activity.

The 27th PTA Inauguration Ceremony was successfully held on October 8th. Afterwards, there was time for the class teachers to meet with parents. I’d like to thank the parents for their support. Teachers gave their observations on students’ learning and character growth since September, while parents shared with us their daughters’ joy at being in school. They also gave us constructive suggestions to aid our strive for excellence.

Last but not least, we would like to congratulate Ceci Leung of S4, who won the outstanding student award in the junior section of the "14th Kowloon Region Outstanding Student Campaign”. Great job!

Best regards,
Constance Cheung
