4 May 2023 On 22 April, 2023, Pooi To Middle School celebrated its anniversary with a tremendously successful Arts in Action. It's a true testament to the determination and dedication of the teachers and students involved. From the planning to the showcasing on stage, every detail was meticulously crafted to create a memorable and amazing experience for all of the audience. The atmosphere was warm and vibrant, with guests fully immersed in each event and enjoying themselves to the fullest extent. Arts in Action was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the students’ achievements of the past year and set 2023, the 135th anniversary of Pooi To, as a milestone for even greater success in the future. Arts in Action has been the highlight of our school events every year since 2006. Even during the pandemic, we overcame many difficulties and performed online. We insisted on continuing because we believe that this experience not only trains our girls in the performing arts but also teaches them to follow their passion, to work hard and sacrifice for a team and, above all, truly believe that no one can limit them and stop them from flying high. I'd like to thank our teachers and students for giving their full support to those involved. I'd also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our parent-teacher association for their unwavering support and generous sponsorship of the program. The energy and enthusiasm of the audience was palpable, as they enjoyed so many of the various performances on show. It provided a wonderful platform for teachers, students, parents, alumni and our Pooi To friends to connect and build new relationships. The success of the event is a reflection of the commitment and passion of the team behind it, and their ability to bring together different elements to create a cohesive and enjoyable experience. A special thanks should go to Arts Education Committee, supporting teams and students involved. This year, to celebrate the 135th Anniversary of Pooi To, we chose the musical "Alice in Wonderland," in which Alice embodies the traits of staying curious and keeping an open mind. These two traits are also important for making Pooi To a vibrant and dynamic school, enabling students to unleash their full potential. I have received a lot of praise from different principals and guests that I want to share with you. You may refer to page 1. Let us celebrate the hard work and dedication of all involved and look forward to continued success in the years to come. Cheers to a job well done!
