Dear Parents and Students,

The Life-wide Learning event was successfully held last week, and the highlights are as follows:

S1 Ocean Park Excursion
S1 students enjoyed a fulfilling day at Ocean Park, where they experienced thrilling rides and explored various exhibitions, deepening their understanding of marine ecology and animal conservation. The highlight of the trip was the opportunity to see the adorable pandas, a national treasure of China, which left a profound impression on the students and made the experience particularly meaningful.

S2 Growth Camp
The S2 Growth Camp aimed to help students embrace Christian values and cultivate a positive mindset through a variety of activities. The camp simulated different life stages, teaching students how to face challenges and maintain a positive attitude. Worship sessions fostered gratitude, and sharings by pastors provided deeper insights into the meaning of life as taught by Jesus Christ.

S3 "Shared Roots" Zhaoqing Trip
S3 students participated in the "Shared Roots – Zhaoqing's Natural Landscape and Conservation" trip. They visited the Seven Star Caves, marveling at the impressive karst formations while learning about the importance of environmental conservation for cultural heritage and ecological balance. Students also engaged in exchange activities at Songde School in the Duanzhou District, which included basketball matches, pottery making, and traditional rice dumpling crafting. This trip not only strengthened friendships between students and teachers from both regions but also broadened their horizons.

S4 Leadership Training Camp
The S4 Leadership Training Camp focused on developing students' leadership skills, values, and practical abilities. Through a series of activities, students enhanced their critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills, laying a solid foundation for future leadership roles. This experience improved students' personal abilities and also prepared them for active participation in society.

S5 Shaoguan Mainland Study Tour
S5 students participated in the Citizenship and Social Education "Shaoguan Mainland Study Tour." They began by visiting Danxia Mountain, and with professional guidance they explored its stunning landforms and gained insights into the geological features and ecosystem of this World Natural Heritage site. Next, they toured the Northern Guangdong War Memorial Museum, where they learned about the history and impact of the Red Army's Long March and the Anti-Japanese War through rich historical materials and exhibits. Students also visited the Shaoguan Iron and Steel Plant, understanding its significance as a heavy industrial base, while also admiring the cherry blossoms cultivated within the plant. Finally, they visited Shaozhou Middle School, where they participated in talent shows and a friendly basketball match with their peers, creating unforgettable memories.

Guangzhou No. 7 Sister School Exchange Tour
S1 and S4 students participated in the "Guangzhou No. 7 Sister School Exchange Tour." Our sister school, warmly welcomed our teachers and students. This exchange allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of the historical connections between the two schools and observe Chinese and English classes, benefiting greatly from the experience. Additionally, students visited notable landmarks in Guangzhou, including the GAC Technology Museum, Guangdong Provincial Museum, Guangzhou Art Museum, and Yongqing Fang, further enhancing their understanding of the nation’s culture and technology. We look forward to more exchange opportunities in the future to promote mutual progress between our two schools.

Best regards,
