2 May 2025

Dear Parents and Students,

We are thrilled to invite you to an extraordinary celebration of creativity, passion, and talent at our annual "Arts in Action" event on Friday 9th May, 2025. This much-anticipated occasion is a vibrant showcase of the transformative power of the arts—where music, dance, drama, and visual arts come together to inspire, challenge, and unite us as a community.

This year’s theme, “Honour the Past, Persevere for the Future,” resonates deeply with the heart of our performances, particularly our highlight production, “Shrek the Musical JR.” Through the whimsical yet profound story of Shrek, Donkey, and Princess Fiona, we are reminded of the enduring values of friendship, acceptance, courage, and staying true to oneself. Just as these beloved characters overcome obstacles with resilience and heart, our students have dedicated themselves to months of preparation, embodying the same spirit of perseverance and teamwork.

The stage will come alive with an exhilarating lineup of performances, each one a testament to the dedication and creativity of our students. From the dynamic Jazz Dance Team to the mesmerizing Wearable Art Show, the stirring melodies of the Orchestra and Choir, the powerful beats of the Chinese Drum Team, the elegance of the Chinese Dance Team, the rich harmonies of the Zheng and Erhu Ensemble, to the breathtaking precision of the A Cappella Team—every act reflects countless hours of practice, passion, and collaboration. With over 240 students and teachers contributing their talents, this event is a true celebration of our school’s artistic spirit.

Behind the scenes, an incredible team has worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life. I extend my deepest gratitude to our Arts Education Committee, the dedicated coordinators, teachers, support staff, and parent volunteers whose unwavering commitment makes this event possible year after year. Their creativity, hard work, and belief in the transformative power of the arts have shaped an unforgettable experience for us all.

As we gather to celebrate, let us embrace the joy of artistic expression and the connections it fosters. Your presence and encouragement mean the world to our performers—each round of applause fuels their confidence and pride in their achievements.

We look forward to sharing this magical evening with you—a day where creativity shines, stories come to life, and the arts remind us of the beauty in diversity, perseverance, and shared dreams. May this year’s Arts in Action fill our hearts with inspiration, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Last but certainly not least, we extend our deepest gratitude to our Parent-Teacher Association and all parent donors for their generous contributions to this event. Your steadfast support empowers us to sustain and enrich students' artistic growth, ensuring the flourishing of aesthetic education for years to come.

Best regards,
