22 May 2025 What a joy it was to witness the incredible talents and creativity of our students at our annual Arts in Action event on 9 May! The performances were not just a display of artistic excellence, but also a powerful testament to the importance of nurturing holistic development in our Pooi To learners. At Pooi To, we firmly believe that true education extends far beyond academic achievement. While scholastic success is vital, we are equally committed to cultivating the core values that define our school’s spirit: Love – Love, empathy, filial piety, respect for others, unity, creativity and passion
These values shone brightly during Arts in Action, where every performance reflected hours of dedication, teamwork, and heartfelt effort. I was deeply moved to see how our students grew as both performers and individuals when given the opportunity to explore their talents, express themselves, and work towards a shared vision. We are profoundly grateful for the unwavering support of our parents, whose encouragement allows both arts and character education to flourish at Pooi To. Your belief in a balanced values-driven education empowers your daughters to discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop lifelong skills. As we celebrate the success of Arts in Action, let us remember that the arts are more than just performances—they are a transformative force that inspires minds, strengthens bonds, and shapes character. Moving forward, we remain committed to providing opportunities for our students to grow academically, artistically, physically, morally, socially, and spiritually, ensuring they become compassionate, capable, and confident leaders of tomorrow. Beyond the stage, the Pooi To spirit also shone on the volleyball court. I had the privilege of attending the Grade C Inter-school Volleyball Competition Finals, where I witnessed our girls overcome immense pressure with grit and grace. Their determination, teamwork, and unwavering support for one another, especially the heartwarming encouragement from their Pooi To big sisters, led them to claim the championship! This victory was not just about skill; it was a triumph of perseverance, unity, and belief in one another. Thank you for partnering with us in nurturing well-rounded individuals who strive for excellence in every field, whether in the arts, sports, or academics. Together, we are not just educating students, we are raising future leaders who will serve our city and our nation with love, integrity, purity and perseverance— fulfilling God’s purpose for their lives. As the Scripture reminds us: "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men" Colossians 3:23. May the Pooi To spirit continue to burn brightly, inspiring our students to pursue excellence, uplift one another, and shine in all they do.
