Student leaders were thrilled to be given an opportunity to further understand Pooi To’s history in Guangzhou. Visits to the old school premises enabled them to get a vivid picture of the Pooi To’s past and present. Using iPads outside the classrooms was also great fun for students from our school and Guangzhou No. 7 Middle School who searched for information about the city and the history of Pooi To. All participants also explored some sightseeing attractions, including Archaeological Site Museum of Nanyue Palace and The Former Site of Whampoa Military Academy. The night view from Canton Tower was absolutely breathtaking and demonstrated the economic and social development of this past-paced city.

Our students appreciated that our sister school arranged the visit to the Passenger Service and Maintenance Department of China Railway Guangzhou. They learned about the system and operations of the railway. It was really a delightful and worthwhile experience for our students. We were whole-heartedly grateful to the Guangzhou No.7 Middle School for their hospitality.
