The online ceremony, which marked a new period of the students’ school lives, commenced with bible reading and hymn singing. The Principal delivered a speech to motivate students to adopt a positive mindset, while our alumnae shared study tips to energize them to strive for the best.

The principal, Ms Cheung, gave a welcoming speech at which she introduced the theme of this year, ‘Overcoming Adversity through Positivity’ and the Bible Verse, ‘Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you,’(Deuteronomy 31:6). They inspire students to develop a positive mindset when encountering challenges, to stay strong and courageous with the guidance of God, and to look on the bright side of life. Students were also reminded that they had to take responsibility for the future and there were different solutions to tackle difficult situations in life.

Our alumnae Grace Chiu and Chloe Poon, who were awarded ‘Outstanding Results in the HKDSE 2020’, are now taking a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Science (Double Degree) in the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong and the Economics and Management faculty at Fudan University respectively. Grace encouraged students to study with full concentration, effective time management skills and good mental health, while Chloe shared the study tips leading to her success, which included making early preparation, organizing notes and being self-motivated.
