Date: 27 May 2022

The celebration of the accomplishments and success of our S6 students commenced with a prayer, a song of praise and script reading followed by an annual report of the school’s development and accomplishments given by our principal Ms Constance Cheung. Afterward, the Supervisor Dr Lee Shu-kam then presented Service Award to the teaching and supporting staff for their years of commitment and contribution to the school.

It was our honour to have invited Mr Wong Kam-sing, GBS, JP, Secretary for the Environment, to be the Guest of Honour. Mr Wong made use of our school’s name ‘POOITO’ as an acronym of green living. We were reminded to value the scarce resources on the Planet, stop Ill-use of resources and adopt sustainable Transport in order to reach the goal of ‘A City of Three Zeros – O carbon,  O waste and O emissions. Besides, Mr Wong encouraged all graduates to make more effort to explore and mobilize their strengths, talents and potential, preparing themselves to enter the green industries where millions of new jobs will be created globally due to new climate policies and commitments. In addition to our current school vision, providing bilingual education, promoting Christian values and  offering multiple learning experiences, Mr Wong suggested adding another one, contributing  ‘POOITO’ green initiatives.

Before long, the graduates were awarded with certificates and prizes from Mr Wong and our school managers to celebrate their outstanding achievements. Thereupon, on behalf of the four classes, the Virtue House Captain and the House Vice-captain delivered a graduation speech and a vote of thanks to the school respectively, and also presented bouquets of chrysanthemum (Ping Pong flowers) to the Principal that symbolized their loyalty to the school, joy of learning in Pooi To and optimism developed in school.

The evening was rounded off with the School Song and hymns, Shalom to You, My Friend and The Lord Bless You and Keep You, performed by our school choir.
