Venue: HKAYP Jockey Club Duke of Edinburgh Training Camp

The Student Growth Team organized a three-day and two-night training camp which enabled the students to experience learning outside the classroom and also provided opportunities for them to learn to be independent and appreciate themselves as well as their peers. They could develop their self-resilience and signature character strengths through participating in various adventurous activities.

The S.1 girls headed for the campsite excitedly after the pre-camp activities at school. At the campsite, they completed some challenging tasks including team-building games, a night walk, water rocket-making and a rope course, all under the guidance of the instructors. Lying on the grassland and thinking of the moments of gratitude was the most treasured moment. The debriefing and sharing sessions could definitely help them reflect on what they had learnt and show appreciation to one another. They also got opportunities to discover, and develop their signature character strengths, gaining a better understanding of themselves. It is our hope to encourage them to further explore and apply their strengths.

It was surely a life-enriching experience filled with memorable moments.
