Last year, more than 10 students participated in a research team led by Dr. Kamen Lee, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Journalism and Communication at Hong Kong Shue Yan University. The research team focused on tracking Tai Chi and Wing Chun masters, martial arts clubs, and sports associations.

Our supervisor Dr. Lee Shu-kam, our Principal Ms Cheung, Ms Chan, and a number of students attended the "Chinese Martial Arts and Sports Culture Communication" results presentation. Dr. Kamen Lee, an alumna, showcased the achievements of the school's involvement in Wing Chun, discussing how Chinese martial artists have, over the past few decades, disseminated the skills and essence of Chinese martial arts through mass communication, interpersonal communication, and organisational communication in Hong Kong, Macau, and overseas. Additionally, he explored how in recent years, advancements in technologies such as 5G and artificial intelligence have been leveraged to overcome territorial limitations in propagating martial arts.
