S6 Geography students went to the High Island Reservoir East Dam at the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark in Sai Kung to see the hexagonal columnar tuff and the surrounding coastal erosion landforms. We also visited Pak Lap Village to observe the revitalization and conservation efforts in the countryside around the country park. The students enjoyed the trip and were very happy to have the opportunity to visit the Geological Park and reinforce what they had learned from the books.
