Our school was delighted to invite Dr. Leung Ping-wah, a distinguished scholar of Kowloon Walled City history, to deliver a specialized lecture on "Walled City and Sino-British Diplomacy" on 22 November 2024. Dr. Leung, known for his rigorous historical approach, provided an engaging presentation. Utilizing film footage and historical documents, he comprehensively explained the origins and development of Kowloon Walled City to our S4-S5 secondary students. His lecture, which integrated a Chinese nationalist perspective to contextualize the city's historical trajectory, was warmly received by students. The entire S4 and S5 cohorts attended the lecture, gaining valuable insights into community and national history, and understanding the inseparable relationship between Hong Kong and China.
