It has been a great honor for me to become the editor of the Clover magazine. I never imagined being a person who
would be able to be a part of a publishing team. Clover not only introduces different school events to our students, but
also helps them strengthen their English ability through different contexts.
Through this opportunity, the thing that I have learnt is leadership and teamwork. It was my first time being a leader
and instructing members to do different jobs. At first I had no idea about how to inform them to help with the interviews.
Fortunately, all of them were so kind and were happy to lend a hand so that we could finish the mission before the
       deadline.
In addition, being the editor of Clover has given me an opportunity to experience what this year’s EAC slogan
“Perseverance makes the difference” really is. At first, Vicky, my co-editor, and I faced many challenges when planning
how the magazine should be designed so that it could be more attractive to our readers. Thanks to the help of our teacher
Mr Kwok, who suggested many ideas, and our non-stop research, we finally chose an Alice in Wonderland design from
Lily Sum (S4) to be the front page of our magazine. Although the progress has been complicated, I believe you will find
the contents inside interesting to you all.
This year our school’s biggest event was most definitely its 135th anniversary. It was a momentous occasion for the
school community, and Clover was poised to capture the spirit of this celebration. With the pandemic no longer a barrier to
these kind of events, the show was held at the PolyU Auditorium, and in this year’s issue of the magazine we decided to
try something new by interviewing the heroes from behind the scenes, who worked extremely hard to make sure the show
ran smoothly for the audience. It inspired me so much to see such a flawless show, especially knowing the immense effort
and dedication that went into it.
To sum up, I would like to express my thanks to Mr Kwok, Mr Middleton and the rest of the Clover team. They have given
so much effort, advice and encouragement. Undoubtedly, being a chief editor has been one of the most memorable
experiences for me this year. I hope all of you will find the magazine interesting and learn some English through our
       content.

I am honored to be the editor of this year’s Clover. In the previous years, because of the pandemic, a lot of activities were
cancelled, but luckily this year a lot of activities have resumed as you will see!
In this issue, we showcase the creativity, intelligence, and passion of the Pooi To students, who are the heart and soul of
our community. From Arts in Action to inspiring artwork and writing, we are constantly amazed by the talent and dedication
of the students at PTMS. We also have included some features, including reviews, articles, and visits. We believe that
reading and writing are essential skills for all students, and we are committed to promoting a love of literature and vision.

This year is the 135 anniversary of Pooi To Middle School. As we reflect on the past 135 years, we are reminded
of the countless individuals who have contributed to the success of our school. From the visionary founders who
established the school, to the dedicated teachers who have inspired and guided generations of students, to the
countless alumni who have gone on to achieve great things in their lives. Therefore, this issue will pay respects to
the history and legacy of Pooi To.
One of the highlights of this issue is Arts in Action, which is now a tradition at Pooi To. It displays the talents of our
students in performing arts and gives them a chance to shine. This year, it was held at the Hong Kong Polytechnic
University, and because of the hard work of our students, it was a successful event.
This is my first time editing a magazine and I found that it to be quite challenging. However, I had a lot of fun and learned
a lot of things through Clover, such as how to conduct an interview and edit a magazine. I would like to thank Mr Kwok
and Mr Middleton for leading us and teaching us how to edit a magazine.
Come and sit back, relax, and enjoy this latest edition of Clover Magazine. We hope it inspires you to think differently,
explore new ideas, and connect with the world around you.
