English Day and Cross-cultural Activity

We were honoured to have representatives from
the U.S. Consulate General Hong Kong and Macau
to join our English Day this year. Apart from the talk
on American English, students have gained profound
knowledge about the culture of the United States
through various game stalls. All participants enjoyed
Pizza Making Workshop their friendly chats with the guests and the English
Ambassadors. The day provided a language-rich and
enjoyable environment for enhancing the English
learning atmosphere.

An English theatre performance – “The Count
of Monte Cristo”

On 11 March, 17 S1 students watched a play, “The Count of
Monte Cristo”, organized by SCHOLAR English Alliance and AFTEC.
The story of Alexandre Dumas’ famous The Count of Monte Cristo
was re-imagined as a modern thriller which was performed by a
professional native English-speaking cast. Not only did students
watch the play in delight, but they were also given a chance to
ponder the importance of “forgiveness”.

S6 Quiz Show

Let’s take a break from studies! All S6 girls had so
much fun in the Quiz show. Who says English learning
is boring?
