English Activities Committee Reading Promotion

Think Big and Start Small

The English Activities Committee is dedicated to
offering opportunities for English enhancement outside of
the classroom. It is impossible to be brilliant at something in
the blink of an eye, progress takes time, hence this year’s
slogan ‘Think Big and Start Small’. Being involved in English
outside of the classroom helps to develop a variety of skills
in small steps in a way that is more natural, like attending
the EAC movie appreciation event, or joining the speech
festival. Reading is also important, which is why the EAC
organises a book fair each year, and has its members
deliver reading promotions in assembly. These morning
assembly broadcasts also provide EAC members with an
opportunity to practise public speaking. We would like to
finish by thanking our two chairladies for their hard work and
support over this year. Let’s see what they have to say about
their experience in the EAC.
