April 15 is National Security Education Day. This morning, after the flag-raising ceremony, our Vice-Principal delivered a speech under the national flag, explaining to students the significance of the theme ’Safeguarding the Economic and Financial Great Wall, Building a Secure Future Together.‘ He reminded everyone that economic security and financial security form an invisible Great Wall, and that only through sound regulation and risk prevention can we ensure the nation’s long-term stability and development — a responsibility in which Hong Kong, as an international financial centre, plays a crucial role.
During the morning assembly, students presented on the theme ‘Chopstick Culture.’ Through a short video and a slideshow, they introduced the history, etiquette, and philosophy of chopsticks, helping everyone understand the Chinese wisdom and emotions carried by this pair of utensils, and encouraging reflection on how to cherish and pass down traditional culture in daily life.
”In his concluding remarks, the Vice-Principal encouraged students to take concrete actions to safeguard Chinese culture, starting with using chopsticks politely and taking an active interest in the nation‘s development, while always remembering that national security is closely tied to the daily lives of Hong Kong residents. He urged everyone to conscientiously abide by the law, discern information rationally, and enhance their awareness of fraud prevention and risk.“
