Pui Ching Middle School 135th Anniversary Open Day

To boost students’ interest and confidence in learning mathematics, seventeen S4 and S5 students attended the PCMS 135th Anniversary Open Day. The visit was highly rewarding, providing opportunities to interact with peers from other schools and gain insights into their mathematics learning experiences. Students particularly enjoyed the problem-solving activities, which made the event engaging. Beyond fostering an appreciation for diverse learning approaches, the experience also expanded their academic perspectives.

S1 Inter-class Mathematics Competition

Recognizing that secondary students today struggle with the topic of “percentages” due to limited shopping experience, we designed two interactive games to enhance their real-world understanding. These games simulate shopping scenarios, helping students grasp how to calculate discounts effectively.

S3 Inter-class Mathematics Competition

Two rounds of mathematical problem-solving tasks were designed to enhance students’ engagement with math-related questions.

S1 Admission Briefing Session

The Mathematic Activities Committee planned and organized three mathematics booth games for the S1 Admission Briefing Session. The goal was to provide visitors from outside the school community an engaging glimpse into the atmosphere and culture of mathematics education of our school.
