The 2nd Pooi To Creative Qipao Flower Button Design (Secondary Schools) Invitational Competition

Pooi To Middle School has long been committed to promoting the heritage of the Qipao and its traditional flower button culture. Following the successful inaugural event in 2025, we are proud to present the 2nd Pooi To Creative Qipao Flower Button Design (Secondary Schools) Invitational Competition.

Guided by the theme "Creating Together, Journeying Together • Navigating Values," this year’s competition received 212 entries from 8 secondary schools. The high standard of creativity and craftsmanship displayed by the students was truly impressive.

From Design to Craftsmanship
The selection process was handled by Ms. Yeung Ching (Head of Visual Arts), Ms. Pang Ue-fei (Visual Arts Teacher), and Ms. Lee Wing-sze (Technology and Living Teacher). Together, they selected 20 outstanding entries to advance to the Final Round.

On March 7, 2026, the finalists visited our campus to personally handcraft the flower buttons they had designed, turning their creative visions into reality.

We were honored to have a distinguished panel of judges for the finals:

Ms. Mak Yuen-sze, Traditional Flower Button Craftsmanship Practitioner
