A joint-school history lecture

Form 4 History students of our school were invited to visit Ying Wa Girls’ School and attend a joint-school history lecture delivered by the renowned historian Professor Ting Sun-pao. The lecture, titled “The Development of Christian / Catholic Schools in Hong Kong,” drew upon a variety of historical documents and material evidence to illustrate the contributions and significance of Christianity to the city’s educational development. Through Professor Ting’s insights, students and teachers gained a deeper appreciation of the challenges faced by church schools in their early years.
Professor Ting and the teachers and students of Ying Wa Girls’ School kindly led our group on a campus tour, visiting facilities such as the library and the school history gallery. This allowed our students to better understand the traditions and characteristics of our sister school, fostering meaningful inter-school exchange.
