A huge thank you to our incredible junior form Visual Arts students for their hard work in painting ‘The Pillars of Pooi To.’ Through their brushes and paint, they have captured the very essence of our school‘s spirit—transforming a simple wall into a vibrant mural that tells our story.
Looking at our school building from the playground, you will see five majestic pillars upholding the structure — these are ’The Pillars of Pooi To‘. The outermost pillars, on the far left and far right, are named ’The Pillar of Cloud‘ and ’The Pillar of Fire‘ — a reference to the Exodus, where God guided His people through the wilderness with a cloud by day to shield them from the desert heat, and a fire by night to illuminate their path. The three central pillars, painted in red, yellow, and blue — the signature colours of Pooi To — bridge the symbolism. Together, The Pillars of Pooi To stand as a powerful reminder that God is always watching over the Pooi To family, from dawn till dusk, through both seasons of rejoicing and seasons of trial alike.
