This year, the three inter-class competitions were organized using a rotational booth structure and cooperative task design with differentiated challenge levels to engage all students.

As part of the school’s traditional Chinese New Year celebration, our panel organized a booth for 福杯滿溢喜迎春 introducing the beauty of symmetry through the art of Chinese paper-cutting, in which participants made a 3D “春” character. The activity not only enhanced students’ understanding of and interest in traditional culture but also highlighted the relationship between Mathematics and Art.

Led by the LaC, which coordinated the English, Mathematics, Science and ICT departments, the booths effectively promoted both English usage and healthy lifestyle habits. Students enthusiastically completed diverse tasks, ranging from iPad games to calculating water intake and identifying high-sugar drinks.

To broaden our senior students’ mathematical horizons beyond the school campus, we organized a visit to the Hong Kong Baptist University in collaboration with the Careers and Life Planning Committee. Twenty-two S5 students participated in the visit, which gave those interested in mathematics-related fields a valuable glimpse into advanced studies and potential career paths. The experience helped connect their current studies with future aspirations and fostered a strong, aspirational learning culture.
