Dear Parents and Students,
The examinations for the First Term have been successfully concluded. The journey of learning knows no bounds—only diligence leads to the shore. Through reflection and growth in every experience, continuous progress will surely guide our path towards excellence.
Recently, the international landscape has experienced turbulence and fluctuation, including military actions by certain nations against others, strategic intentions to encroach upon the territories of sovereign states, and behaviors that deviate from international norms—all of which have drawn widespread global attention. These developments compel us to reflect deeply: Where is the future headed? In what kind of world will our children grow up?
As educators, we firmly believe that the core of education lies not only in imparting knowledge, but also in nurturing values, shaping character, and guiding students to develop a profound and holistic understanding of the world. Amid the complexity and unpredictability of the international situation, it is even more crucial to teach our children to observe the world with rationality and composure while holding fast to their inner principles and convictions.
Our nation, China, has always adhered to the path of peaceful development, committed to equality, cooperation, and shared prosperity in the international community. The values of "harmony" and "win-win cooperation" are essential principles that should be deeply instilled in the hearts of the next generation. In the face of external changes and challenges, we must help our children understand that true strength stems from inner resilience, cultural confidence, and the willingness to contribute wisdom to our nation and the world.
Parents are the first mentors and closest companions in a child's life. In this rapidly changing era, how can we nurture our daughters to become future pillars of society—compassionate, resilient, discerning, and responsible? I would like to share a teaching from the Bible to encourage us all:
"Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life." (Philippians 2:14-16)
The Apostle Paul’s exhortation reminds us that the direction of education is of utmost importance. We must help our children build a life path grounded in love, integrity and courage. No matter how the world changes, these virtues will serve as their sturdiest armor. Let us work together to guide our children:
1. Uphold a heart of "love" and peace: Understand that true progress comes from mutual respect, sincere dialogue, and cooperation, not confrontation or conflict.
2. Practice "integrity" and rational thinking: Encourage them to care about the world, cultivate independent thinking and a fact-based attitude, and avoid being easily swayed by one-sided information.
3. Nurture "purity" and a commitment to goodness: Maintain optimism in adversity and uphold kindness in times of change, becoming a light that illuminates the world.
4. Strengthen "perseverance" and cultural confidence: Guide them to delve into the essence of Chinese culture and contribute constructively to the nation's development.
Our school will continue to uphold the educational mission of "Love, Integrity, Purity, and Perseverance," fostering a peaceful and positive learning environment that supports students' holistic growth in both academics and character. We also look forward to collaborating with parents to build a solid bridge between home and school, working together to safeguard our children's future.
The world may be ever-changing, and it is precisely for this reason that our wisdom and resilience are tested. Let us guide the next generation forward with calm hearts and steadfast determination, walking steadily toward a brighter future.
Best Regards,
C. Cheung
